Frederic Petitjean - Author

Fred_bio.jpg

Frederic Petitjean wrote many short programs and sketches for television, for programs such as Les Guignols (French equivalent of british known ‘Spitting Image’), before leaving to the USA to work first with Graphic Studios and then later on Discreet Movies. These two companies, who specialise in special digital effects, employed the services of writers like Frederic, to come up with new subjects, or to script the special effects parts of films, parts that were still very much neglected at that time.

The best part of a decade spent working in studio conditions, enabled him to acquire solid foundations in the art of script construction and mechanics. He participated in the writing of the first Shrek film for Ted Elliot and Dreamworks Studios.

Since his return, no less than 11 scripts based on his own original ideas, have been signed up…

From Danis Tanovic to Gaumont, not to mention Madame Irma with Dider Bourdon and Anne Thomopoulos, chief of fiction for HBO, Frederic works constantly between the United States and France, writing in both english and french.
